I spent the better part of two decades in the building materials industry. I learned how local businesses actually work — not from a marketing textbook, but from being inside them. That experience stuck with me when I made the jump into digital marketing, because I understood something most marketers don't: what a business owner's day actually looks like, and what they need to hear when the phone isn't ringing.
In 2016, I launched Absolutely Elite, a digital agency built to help service-based businesses get found online and turn that visibility into real leads. Custom website design, WordPress development, and local SEO — no templates, no gimmicks.
Running the agency, I kept hitting the same wall every local marketer knows: building citations was a nightmare. Nobody had a good solution, so I built one. That became Citation Vault — now serving more than 10,000 businesses in nine countries. We're evolving it into Citation Vault 2.0, shifting from volume to precision with entity-rich, locally relevant content that builds a business's identity in the eyes of search engines and AI.
